Legal Terms
By leaving a deposit you agree to these terms and conditions.
Deposit:
Upon receiving your order intake form, you will receive a quote that is valid for 7 days. should you accept this quote, a 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to complete your booking. a booking is not considered complete until a deposit is received.
If an order is canceled 14 days or more before your order date, you will receive your deposit back in the form of a credit that must be used within 1 year. If an order is made less than two weeks before the event date, payment will be required in full.
Final Payment:
The remaining balance is 14 days prior to delivery. If your remaining balance is not paid on time, a 15% fee will be added to your balance. Your cake will not be released until the full balance is paid. If no Payment is received 7 days prior to delivery, your order will be canceled WITH NO REFUNDS GIVEN.
Payment Options:
We accept cash, Venmo, Zelle, and credit and debit card payments. All orders will include a 3% credit card processing fee. In your invoice, you will also receive a cash discount price. please pay the cash discount price if paying by cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
Venmo transactions will be treated as cash. if there are any additional fees by the customer adding purchase protection to their order, Baked By L.A. will add that fee to their final invoice.

Cake Changes:
We are unable to make changes to size, flavor and design after final payment is received unless otherwise noted. Any changes may be subject to additional charges.
Cancellations:
If you need to cancel for an emergency, please reach out to Lauren@BakedbyLA.com all deposits are non-refundable, but may be issued back to the customer as a credit for future purchases.
Pickup and Delivery:
Delivery is $30.00 for orders with in 15 miles of 900 Mill Road, Pleasantville, NJ. Orders outside this radius have a $30.00 base fee and are charged $1 per mile roundtrip plus any tolls.
Baked by LA is not responsible for any damage to the cake after delivery is complete or after the order leaves our possession for pickup. You are responsible for providing an appropriate and secure environment for the order. Cakes are heavy and require a sturdy table, and optimal room temperature of 75 degrees or below. Please note that direct sunlight and temperatures of 75 degrees and higher may have drastic and adverse effects on the structure and design of your order.
BakedbyLA bears no responsibility for any damage to cakes after pick up. Any repairs or additional cakes will be subject to additional fees.
Fresh Flowers:
Fresh flowers that are not food-grade will be stem-wrapped in floral tape or dipped in a food-safe barrier coating, but BakedbyLA bears no responsibility for fresh flower safety.
Equipment Deposits:
Any equipment deposit, such as for a cake stand or trays will be refunded to you when the item is returned in the same condition within one week of your order delivery or pickup.
Guarantee:
Baked by LA promises you the best product and service we can provide. However, we cannot be held responsible for anything that should happen to the cake once delivery is complete.
If a vehicular accident occurs during the transportation of your cake (by Baked by LA) and the cake is damaged, a sheet cake will be provided for your guests to eat, and A FULL refund will be given to you.
Allergies:
BakedbyLA products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk for any allergic reactions. We are not responsible for any allergic reactions to guests consuming the product.
